Fowlers Vacola Stainless Steel Preserver

Electric preserving unit—turn your excess fruit and tomatoes into fruit preserves or passata. Used for preserves that require a water bath after bottling. Unit plugs into a power point and comes with instruction manual.

Fowlers Vacola Dehydrator 

Drying foods is one of the oldest forms of preserving—a great way to preserve garden harvest of fruit or veggies. Unit plugs into a power point and comes with instruction manual.

Kuchef Breadmaker 

Electric breadmaking machine - mix, proof and bake your own bread. A good option for trying a breadmaker out before investing in one. 

Yaourtiere Yoghurt Machine 

Electric yoghurt making appliance with instruction/recipe booklet. The Yogurtière allows you to make your own yogurts according to the tastes of the family. 

Sewing Machines & Overlocker

Domestic sewing machines, heavy duty sewing machine and overlocker suitable for a range of sewing projects including mending, furnishings and making clothing.

FLIR Thermal Camera

Thermal Cameras can help identify areas of your home where there is unwanted heat loss in winter or heat gain in summer and where interventions such as draught proofing, insulation and shading through blinds or vegetation are best placed to help you reduce heating or cooling costs.

How to Borrow

 

  1. Register as a tool library member via the form below, including agreeing to the Albion Library of Things Terms & Conditions

  2. Membership is open to people who live, work or play in Brimbank

  3. Select the item you are interested in borrowing and indicate your preferred pick-up date

  4. We'll be in touch via email to organise a pick-up time for your loan 

  5. Please note you will be asked to provide 2 forms of ID at the time of collecting your first item; one of these must be photo ID such as a drivers license.

  6. Loans are for a period of a week; extensions may be available depending on the availability of the item.

  7. A $50 refundable bond applies for borrowing of the FLIR Thermal Camera.

  8. Thermal camera borrowers must sign the FLIR Camera agreement.

  9. Bond can be paid via bank transfer or cash on pick-up.
